Since I'm a senior and a product of the Very First Self-righteous Church I understand both responses, and both are right. But, where is Paul Harvey and the others of-the story when you really need them?

Stay right, you're told, dare not do-anything that's fun and don't enjoy yourself as you're already planning to hell. Do not blow it… Do not allow it to be worse. But, oh by the way in which, notice how fat we preachers are? While we do not believe a word the Roman Catholic Church needs to say and the practice in their priests is nothing short of blasphemy and hypocrisy, we, essentially, give you special dispensation to practice gluttony and to commit suicide on the installment plan with a spoon and a hand, but… use only grape juice in Holy Communion for strong drink is just a sin.

Do not mess up on Saturday and show up at church on Sunday….. God will be looking for you! This is, after all, the spot where the High Priest was killed in the Holy of Holies and where Ananias and Sapphira died beneath the view of Saint Peter. When Jesus taught, God is a loving Father and explained for us to 'fear not', why do those professing to speak for Him in these days seek to keep up power and control through fear?

Incidentally, why is it a failure for your congregation to possess dirty lucre as the preacher is rich and flaunts it?

Want to be like Jesus and practice the life of Doctor King? Let the preacher sell all he's, give it to the homeless, and join his brother underneath the bridge consuming only what he can get at the soup kitchen so he also can say, 'the son of man hath no where to put his head.' What?!!! Give up the silk sheets, the fancy cars, the well heeled friends, the well placed associates, and the big house inside the 'burbs'? Do not hold your breath..
